Professional-grade portable gas detector designed for volatile organic compound (VOC) monitoring with PID technology. Features dual sampling modes and advanced display capabilities for industrial safety applications.
A rugged, IECEx/ATEX certified portable gas detector with built-in pump for VOC monitoring. Measures 0–1000ppm with 1ppm resolution using a PID sensor. Features pump + diffusion dual mode, IP67 waterproof/dustproof, 3 meter drop resistance, man down alarm, 100,000 data logs (export via USB), and triple alarm (95dB buzzer + flashing red LED + vibration). Optional wireless (LoRa/Bluetooth) and docking station (DKS-3000) for automated testing. Ideal for industrial hygiene, leak detection, and confined space entry.
The SKY3000 is a high performance portable gas detector certified to IECEx, ATEX, and EMC standards. It uses a built in pump for active sampling but can automatically switch to diffusion mode in case of pump failure or special emergency, providing an extra layer of safety. The detector measures up to 6 gases simultaneously (standard 4 in 1: CO/H₂S/O₂/LEL, with VOC as an option).
Taking VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) as an example, the SKY3000 employs a PID (Photoionization Detector) sensor to measure concentrations from 0–1000ppm with a resolution of 1ppm. Response time (T90) is ≤30 seconds, and precision ≤ ±2% FS.
The large graphical LCD (160×96) can be rotated 180° for easy reading in any orientation. Backlight turns on automatically during alarms.
Data logging is standard: 100,000 records with adjustable interval (5–3600 seconds). Data can be exported to a PC via USB without any software – the detector appears as a removable drive.
The detector includes a standard water trap filter to protect the pump and sensor from moisture and dust. A man down alarm enhances lone worker safety. Optional LoRa or Bluetooth wireless modules enable remote real time monitoring, and the DKS 3000 docking station automates bump testing, calibration, and data management.
Powered by a 2200mAh rechargeable lithium battery, the SKY3000 runs for >15 hours in continuous pumping mode (charging time ≥4 hours). With IP67 protection and 3 meter drop resistance, it is built for the harshest job sites.

VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds – hundreds of chemicals that evaporate at room temperature (e.g., benzene, toluene, xylene, formaldehyde, gasoline vapors). Sources include paints, solvents, fuels, adhesives, and industrial emissions. Short term exposure can cause eye/nose/throat irritation, headaches, and nausea; long term exposure may lead to liver/kidney damage or cancer. PID sensors detect a wide range of VOCs with high sensitivity, making them ideal for leak detection, confined space entry, and industrial hygiene monitoring.

1. How often should I bump test the SKY3000?
Daily before use, especially if used in high risk environments.
2. What is the lifespan of the PID sensor?
Typically 12–24 months depending on usage and contamination. The lamp can be cleaned periodically.
3. Can I calibrate the detector myself?
Yes. Use a known concentration of calibration gas and follow the manual’s zero/span calibration steps. The optional DKS 3000 automates the process.
4. How do I export data without the docking station?
Connect via USB to a PC – the detector appears as a USB drive. Copy the CSV log files directly.
5. What happens if the pump fails?
The detector automatically switches to diffusion mode and triggers a pump failure alarm. You can still get gas readings, but response time will be slower.
6. Is the SKY3000 suitable for use in explosive atmospheres?
Yes. It has Ex ia IIC T4 Ga certification for Zone 0, 1, 2 hazardous areas.
7. How long does the battery last with pump running continuously?
Over 15 hours on a full charge. With the pump off (diffusion mode), runtime is longer.
8. Can I detect other gases besides VOC with the same unit?
Yes. The SKY3000 can be configured for up to 6 gas types, including CO, H₂S, O₂, LEL, NH₃, Cl₂, NO₂, SO₂, etc. Contact us for custom configurations.
9. Does the detector come with a water trap filter?
Yes, a standard water trap filter is included to protect the pump and sensor from moisture and dust.
10. What is the warranty period?
1 year for the detector; sensors have shorter warranty depending on the type (consult datasheet).
